Gluten-free Focaccia

Gluten free Focaccia

Easter is coming up and I am sure some of you are starting to think about your menu, or what is going to be on your brunch table. Today I made this great focaccia recipe. I rarely combine the same flours, as I once said, I like to play with tastes and textures, and also not everybody necessarily like all the gluten free flours, so in the end I hope there is a recipe that will please someone. :-)

Rice and sorghum bread

I haven’t made a new bread recipe in a while. The other day I went to a health food exhibition and there was a booth where they presented their gluten free bread. It is a very nice bakery, and I tried it. It was good. Then I tried to reproduce their bread, but in theirs had dairy and eggs. Not everybody can have these because of food intolerance or just because they don’t include these in their…

Kids-friendly lasagna

Kids-friendly veggie lasagna

Do your kids ever ask 2 portions of cauliflowers? In my case, not very often. This sauce was inspired again by a TV show (Cuisine futé). It’s not the same recipe, but by seeing it I just thought, why not add whatever we want our kids to eat and make a tomato sauce.

Beets and hummus in layers

Sometimes during holidays or when you have guests over, you may be wondering what to make as an appetizer. Even more if you have friends or family that have food intolerance, have dietary restrictions or simply are vegan. I wanted to start this new category that would be more “Gourmet cooking” for different special occasions.

The idea is to create healthy food, but still show you that healthy is…

I’ve been blogging for a year now. When I first started, I just wanted to share my recipes with some people. I didn’t really have a goal, no photography experience. Now my goal is to give alternatives to meat to reduce our environmental impact and improve our health, make you discover food, spices, herbs… and more important, have fun in the kitchen.

Today, I made a cereal recipe. Breakfast is…

Chewy carrot cookies

My kids are really out of snacks. I don’t like to by them in stores. I don’t get really much, so today I’m going to give them a treat. Fresh carrots and dry fruits. Yummy! I’ll also add some crunchy roasted nuts. Those cookies were gone within a day. I think they are healthy enough, they could really be a good morning snack in your kids lunchbox.

I roasted my nuts just to add an additional…
